Arkane Studios’ Redfall aims to blend single-player and co-op

While many of us expected Starfield or Halo Infinite to be the grand finale to the Xbox and Bethesda E3 showcase, Microsoft went in a surprising direction. At the end of the show, Redfall was announced, a new game by Prey and Dishonored developers Arkane Studios.

Arkane Studios' next game is another brand new IP. The vampire-themed Redfall is currently scheduled to release in Summer 2022 and will feature up to four-player co-op:

The trailer unfortunately does not include gameplay, but the cinematic sequence gives us a good idea of what to expect. Redfall aims to seamlessly blend solo-play and multiplayer, allowing players to go after vampires on their own, or do so with up to three other companions. The best comparison is likely Wolfenstein Youngblood, which also allows solo or co-op play throughout the campaign.

Redfall will be releasing exclusively on Xbox platforms, so expect to find it on Xbox Series X/S, PC and of course, Xbox Game Pass, in 2022.

KitGuru Says: As fun as the trailer was, there are still a lot of question marks around this game. We may not have to wait long to get some extra details though, as Xbox is holding another post-E3 event with its first-party studios next week.
