Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order surpasses 20 million players

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order offered a great blend of action, adventure, and purposeful combat in the world of Star Wars when it launched in late 2019. Since then the game has received confirmation of a sequel, with more than 10 million copies sold as of March 2020. One year later, the game’s player count has doubled.

Alongside the launch of the PS5 and Series versions of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – and the announcement that upgrades would be free – developers Respawn Entertainment revealed that “As of today, more than 20 million players worldwide have played Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order across all consoles, platforms and subscription services.”

It is worth noting that 20 million players does not equate to 20 million copies sold. Fallen Order is available to play through EA Play, the publisher’s subscription service. Furthermore, as EA Play is also available to all those with Xbox Game Pass, it is possible that a large number of that extra 10 million players derived from these services.

Even so, 20 million players is an impressive figure, and it will be interesting to see just how much bigger, better, and more exciting the sequel will be. Hopefully fans don’t have to wait too long to see at least a teaser trailer.
