This week, Gigabyte introduces the M27UA: a new 27-inch gaming monitor with a 4K resolution and high refresh rate. This sleek monitor is equipped with a SuperSpeed IPS panel, an adjustable stand, and plenty of connectivity options to meet your needs.
The SuperSpeed IPS panel used by the Gigabyte M27UA offers a refresh rate of up to 160Hz. With AMD FreeSync Premium and a 5ms GTG response time (1ms MPRT), the M27UA offers a tear-free experience with minimised motion blur during gameplay. The 8-bit+FRC display panel covers 128% of the sRGB and 95% of the DCI-P3 colour spaces. Additionally, it has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, promising a peak brightness of at least 400 nits.
The M27UA comes with two 3W speakers with Clear Sound technology and an ergonomic stand that allows for extensive adjustments, including up to 130mm in height and -5 to 20 degrees in tilt. If you want a better stand, it's worth noting the monitor is compatible with the VESA 100×100 mounting mechanism. In terms of connectivity, this monitor doesn't disappoint, offering a comprehensive range of ports, including 3x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB-B upstream port, and a USB-C with 18W power delivery. For video, there are two HDMI 2.1 inputs and DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC compatibility.
Notably, the monitor also integrates OSD Sidekick, enabling users to adjust display settings through the OS. Gamers will also appreciate the GameAssist feature, which includes Aim Stabiliser with sync capabilities and other gaming-centric tools like Crosshair, Dashboard, and 6-axis colour management.
KitGuru says: With a comprehensive feature that should fulfil the needs of most users, the M27UA might be worth checking if you're looking for 4K monitors with a high refresh rate.
