Apple ramps up supply orders ahead of iPhone 13 launch

We've seen plenty of Apple leaks this year, including several surrounding the iPhone 13. It would seem that Apple expects its new generation iPhone to have a huge launch compared to the iPhone 12, as orders from suppliers have seen a sharp rise. Sources have also begun revealing details about the upgrades present in this year's iPhone.

Sources speaking with Bloomberg explained that this year's iPhone will be a more incremental upgrade to the iPhone 12, with processor, camera and display improvements across all models, including the 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch standard iPhones and the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone Pro models. A smaller notch for the Face ID sensors and front facing camera is also expected.

Apple expects this year's iPhone to be a hot seller, as the number of orders from suppliers has seen a big increase over 2020. For this year, Apple has reportedly ask suppliers to build as many as 90 million new iPhones.

These new iPhone models are all expected to launch in September, which will be a return to tradition for Apple, as last year the company had to delay its iPhone launch to October.

KitGuru Says: The iPhone 13 is just two months away, so current leaks should be quite accurate. Will any of you be upgrading your smartphone this year?
