Microsoft has just announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud) is now available on PC and Apple iOS devices in 22 countries. Microsoft is also expanding its “Designed for Xbox” accessory line with new Xbox Cloud-supported game controllers for iPhones.
Microsoft is bringing Xbox Cloud Gaming to more devices by making it available to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members with Windows 10 PCs and Apple phones and tablets. Accessing Xbox Cloud Gaming is as simple as heading to Xbox.com/play on a supported browser. In this case, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Safari are all supported.
During the same announcement, Microsoft has also confirmed that it's powering Xbox Cloud Gaming with Xbox Series X hardware, offering faster load times, improved frame rates, and more graphic options.
Moreover, Microsoft also announced three new accessories, from which two are coming just in time for iPhone support on Xbox Cloud Gaming. These are two iPhone controllers: the Backbone One and the Razer Kishi.
Alongside the iPhone controllers, Microsoft also announced the OtterBox Power Swap Controller Batteries. Compatible with Xbox consoles, Android and iPhone devices, this battery kit offers zero controller downtime to let you keep playing even when the controller battery dies. This is possible due to the reserve energy cell that keeps the controller working while the user swaps batteries.
Both the Backbone One and Razer Kishi are available now for $99.99 and include a 3-months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The OtterBox Power Swap Controller Batteries are also available now for $59.95.
