Halo Infinite multiplayer gameplay showcased ahead of public playtests

The Halo Infinite technical preview is set to kick off today and just as promised, 343 Industries gave us a first look at the playtest in a stream last night. Unlike the E3 trailer, the stream gives us a direct look at a full Halo Infinite multiplayer match.

The match is exactly what Halo Insiders will be able to play later today, offering a 4v4 Slayer match on the Live Fire map. For this technical preview, players will be placed in 4v4 Slayer matches up against AI bots so that 343 Industries can gather feedback on its AI systems.

The full stream goes on for an hour and a half but if you want to skip straight to the Slayer match, you can skip to 1 hour and 20 minutes in. Of course, if you are a big Halo fan, then the full stream is worth watching for additional details and context. During the stream, the developers touched on custom graphics settings, such as the FOV slider, the ability to drop weapons for the first time in a Halo game and other smaller, but important details.

The first Halo Infinite multiplayer technical preview begins today and ends on the 1st of August. Halo Insiders have already begun receiving invites, so be sure to check your emails if you are signed up.
