Square Enix releases Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker GPU benchmark

With Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker coming in November, Square Enix released a GPU benchmark so users can test their systems and check if they're prepared for the upcoming expansion.

According to Square Enix's description of the Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker GPU benchmark, the benchmark uses “actual maps and playable characters to assign a score to your PC and rate its performance”. Moreover, it includes a character creation tool for the users to see a playable character as they will see it in-game.

In the character creation tool, you will be allowed to create a Male Viera, and if you wish to, carry it to the Endwalker expansion. The benchmark will also support 4K resolution, 5.1 Channel Surround Sound, and SLI and CrossFire, just like the full release of the expansion.

The GPU benchmark includes all the graphic options available in-game. After selecting which ones you want to enable, run the test, and you'll obtain a score based on how your system handled it. Anything above 4000 means you can run the game decently at default settings.

The system requirements to run the benchmark are relatively low, as you can see in the following list:

  • Operating System: Windows 8.1/10 (64-bit version)
  • Graphics card: Graphics card and drivers compatible with DirectX 11 (DirectX 9 is not supported), minimum resolution: 1024×720
  • Size: 2.21GB

If you're interested in running the benchmark, you may download it and follow the guiding steps to use it HERE.
