A Plague Tale: Innocence will be free on the Epic Games Store

A Plague Tale: Innocence was the first breakout game from French developer Asobo Studio. Now known for Microsoft Flight Simulator, A Plague Tale: Innocence is a very different game, featuring a unique story; interesting environments; and an excellent soundtrack. If you missed it when it first released in 2019, PC players will soon be able to get the game for free through the Epic Games Store.

Each week, the Epic Games Store offers its users a number of free games. Following on from this week’s offerings of Mothergunship and Train World Sim 2, those with an Epic Games Store account will be able to purchase A Plague Tale: Innocence and Speed Brawl for free from the 5th of August until the 12th.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is a stealth-focused action adventure thriller game, which sees you, Amicia, take care of your sick brother as you both evade not only the Spanish Inquisition, but also a plague which has seen flesh-eating rats take over. The game was well received upon its release in 2019, with a sequel recently announced to be on its way.

Speed Brawl is a 2D ‘combat-racer’ all about “moving fast and hitting hard”. The game asks players to “Maintain your momentum, build your combos, and unleash powerful special moves. Find your own fighting style, and assemble the finest team of brawlers ever seen. Then do it all again faster… faster… FASTER!!!” Speed Brawler received positive reviews from both critics and players alike when it released back in 2018.

Both A Plague Tale: Innocence and Speed Brawl will be available to purchase and download entirely for free from the 5th until the 12th of August.
