Following on from the Acer Thronos and Razer’s Project Brooklyn, Cooler Master has become the latest company to announce a ‘gaming throne’ designed around full immersion. The Cooler Master Orb X is a uniquely designed, multi-purpose gaming pod aimed at both gamers and professionals.
The Cooler Master Orb X has a semi-enclosed design, featuring an automatic shuttle dome, that when closed, creates a “private space” for users. There's also support for 3x 27-inch monitors or a single 49-inch monitor, so you can be surrounded by displays.
The included ergonomic chair is fully adjustable, offering six ways to calibrate the seat to the user's liking, including the lumbar and headrest. On the back of the gaming pod, users will find a hidden compartment to hide the system or console, offering a clean aesthetic. Additionally, it features a 2.1ch immersive sound system.
As per the images, the gaming pod will be surrounded by RGB strips that should be customisable and feature a desk where you can place a mouse and keyboard. Moreover, it looks like Orb X will be available in black and white.
Cooler Master expects to release the Orb X by December 2021, priced around $12,000-$14,000. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.
KitGuru says: Considering its price, the Cooler Master Orb X isn’t going to be available in or sell in large quantities. However, based on previous battle station-like systems released, the Cooler Master Orb X seems the most feature-packed, which is reflected in the price.
