Call of Duty: Vanguard open beta begins tomorrow

Anyone interested in this year's Call of Duty will want to clear some hard drive space this weekend, as the Vanguard beta is set to go live. Starting tomorrow, Call of Duty: Vanguard enters open beta, allowing anyone on PC, Xbox or PlayStation to install an early version of the game and take part in multiplayer matches.

For pre-order customers, the beta kicked off a little sooner. PlayStation pre-order customers got early access way back on the 10th of September, while PC and Xbox pre-order customers have had early access to the beta since yesterday. From the 18th to the 20th of September, the beta will be fully open, so you don't have to pre-order the game, or obtain a code to get in.

Those playing on PC will want to check the PC system requirements, which are a tad higher than last year’s. Here are the minimum PC system requirements:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon R9 380
  • Storage: 45GB

The recommended system requirements include:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K or AMD Ryzen 7 1800X
  • RAM: 16GB
  • GPU: GTX 1660 or Radeon RX Vega 56
  • Storage: 45GB

These are the system requirements for the beta, so we may see some adjustments for the final game ahead of release.
