The Forza Horizon series has historically been known to offer beautiful open world experiences, taking players to different countries with unique and varied visual identities. The next entry in the franchise – Forza Horizon 5 – is said to have the “largest and most diverse open-world ever in a Forza Horizon game.”
On the Xbox blog, the console manufacturer revealed more details regarding what fans can expect when Forza Horizon 5 releases on the 9th of November. While many fans were hoping for the series to go to Japan, it was officially revealed at E3 that the upcoming entry in the open-world racing franchise will be heading to Mexico.
Fans should not be disappointed however, as the world developed for Horizon 5 is said to be “the largest, most diverse open world ever in a Forza Horizon game,” and is not only one and a half times the size of the previous entry, but will also be more diverse too, offering 11 different biomes to race through.
The list of biomes are:
- Canyon
- Tropical Coast
- Farmland
- Arid Hills
- Jungle
- Living Desert
- Rocky Coast
- Sand Desert
- Swamp
- Urban City of Guanajuato
- Volcano
Perhaps even more exciting is the fact that due to the return of the game’s seasonal changes, each of these biomes will look and feel different throughout the year, going from Spring to Summer to Autumn and Winter.
Alongside this, the team released an abundance of new screenshots (seen above), giving fans a glimpse at these biomes.
