Kioxia launches new Exceria Pro and Exceria G2 M.2 SSDs

Kioxia is revamping its line-up of SSDs later this year with two new consumer-oriented drives – the Exceria Pro and the Exceria G2. These new SSDs will offer up to 2TB capacity and utilise Kioxia's BiCS Flash 3D flash memory technology.

The Exceria Pro is a PCIe Gen 4 SSD, promising over two times the max sequential read speeds of the Exceria Plus series, which is PCIe Gen 3 based. The Exceria G2 is an updated PCIe Gen 3 SSD, delivering up to 2TB capacity and capable of going over 2,000MB/s sequential read/write performance.

Both SSDs use Kioxia's BiCS Flash 3D flash memory, as well as the M.2 2280 single-sided form factor, making them suitable for both desktops and laptops. As you would expect, both SSDs also support Kioxia's SSD utility management tool, so users can monitor the health of their SSD.

The Exceria Pro and Exceria G2 SSDs will be showcased during ChinaJoy, which takes place from July 30th to August 2nd. These SSDs are expected to hit the retail market in Q4 2021.
