Persona 5X confirmed to be getting console and international release

Since its launch back in late 2016 / early 2017, Atlus have released countless spin-offs for its much-lauded JRPG Persona 5. The latest title to have been released was Persona 5: The Phantom X for mobile and PC. Currently limited to very select regions, the game is confirmed to be coming to consoles and additional territories.

As reported by PersonaCentral, Atlus held an in-person event for Persona 5: The Phantom X a couple weeks ago, discussing the future of the mobile/PC gacha game. Parts of the event have since been published online, with the biggest announcements being made public.

Alongside confirmation of various collabs and crossovers with various Persona games (as well as other IPs), Atlus stated that “work on the console versions of P5X will get underway after the international release” – confirming both an international and console release in the same sentence.

For the uninitiated, Persona 5: The Phantom X launched in beta back in April across a number of Asian countries including China, Taiwan and Korea. While gacha games may be controversial, P5X could wind up being pretty fun – assuming it’s balanced correctly.
