Battlefield 2042 PC system requirements revealed

DICE has yet to announce the minimum and recommended PC system requirements for Battlefield 2042. However, thanks to closed alpha testers, we do know that hardware the developers are targeting. The good news is, the minimum system requirements aren't particularly high, although you'll want a more modern rig to meet the recommended tier.

Known Battlefield leaker, Tom Henderson, has shared the minimum and recommended PC system requirements for Battlefield 2042. These system requirements applied to the game's recent closed alpha test, so some changes could be made for the beta and for the launch-day version, coming in October.

Here are the minimum system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD FX-8350
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 560.

Recommended system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16GB
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 5600 XT

Battlefield 2042 is set to officially release on the 22nd of October, although EA Play subscribers and pre-order customers can get early access on the 15th of October.

KitGuru Says: For now, it looks like these are the system requirements that DICE is targeting, although we may well see some changes prior to launch. In particular, I'd expect the CPU requirements to be adjusted a bit.
