Wasteland 3: Cult of the Holy Detonation arrives in October

InXile's excellent crowdfunded RPG, Wasteland 3, has been out for over a year now, with the team improving the game and adding in extra content along the way. Now, it is time for Wasteland 3's send-off, which is coming in the form of a new DLC – Cult of the Holy Detonation.

Last night during Xbox's Gamescom showcase, InXile announced that Wasteland 3: Cult of the Holy Detonation will be releasing on the 5th of October across PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles. The DLC is as whacky as it sounds, as we can see from the trailer below:

This is the last DLC for the game and for the first time, it involves objective-based combat, requiring players to perform specific actions to get through some missions. The DLC is set in the Cheyenne Mountain military bunker, where mutant cults worship the ‘Holy Detonation', which is a nuclear explosion held in stasis.

InXile already has a couple of other RPGs in the works and has been expanding since being acquired by Microsoft. One of these games will be a first-person RPG, being developed with Unreal Engine 5.
