Dying Light 2: Stay Human delayed to February 2022

Back in May, Techland debuted a new trailer for Dying Light 2, while also announcing a December 2021 release date. There were some doubts that the team would be able to meet this release date, and now, the game has been officially delayed.

In an update posted this afternoon, Techland confirmed that Dying Light 2: Stay Human will now be releasing in early 2022. The release date is moving from the 7th of December 2021 to the 4th of February 2022, giving the team another couple of months to polish the game up and prepared to ship.

While Dying Light 2 has been delayed, Techland will be showing the game off in a bit more detail next month. Press, streamers and YouTubers will be invited to play an early build of the PC and console versions of the game, so expect lots of Dying Light 2 Preview articles and videos in October.

Aside from that, Techland will continue with its “regular updates” and will be sharing more news on the game later this month.

KitGuru Says: If you've been keeping up with KitGuru Games recently, then you'll know that Dying Light 2 was my second most anticipated game for the end of this year, although I still had my doubts that it would actually release this year. The last thing this game needs is a messy launch, so hopefully this delay buys the developers the time they need to really deliver at launch.
