Intel’s Core i9-12900K has been benchmarked early… again

Another benchmark result of the upcoming Intel ‘Alder Lake' Core i9-12900K has been spotted. This time the benchmark entry was found on the PugetBench list before quickly being removed. 

Although the links shared by @Benchleaks are not working anymore, VideoCardz was fast enough to take screenshots of the entries on the PugetBench list. For these tests, the i9-12900K was mounted on an Asus ROG Strix Z690-E motherboard and equipped with 64GB of memory clocked at 4800MHz. The system also featured an RTX 3090 graphics card.

There were three entries on PugetBench, each with a different overall Adobe After Effects benchmark score: 1541, 1573, and 1575. It's worth noting that this benchmark is not suited to test CPU performance, but these scores were the only ones found on the list.

Comparing these scores with a recent entry of a system using a Core i9-11900K, 64GB of DDR4-2133 memory and an RTX 3090 card, both system performs almost the same. The Core i9-11900K system scored 1548 overall, beating the GPU score of the i9-12900K's highest-scored entry by 3% (156.5 vs 160.9) and the tracking score by 7% (196.9 vs 210.7). However, the ram preview and render scores were higher in the Core i9-12900K entry, scoring about 6% (130.1 vs 137.9) more in the former and 11% (123.6 vs 137.7) more in the latter.

KitGuru says: The higher RAM preview score should be linked to the higher speeds of the Core i9-12900K system. However, the reason for the difference in render scores is unclear.
