Prior to E3, there was a huge 2K Games leak, indicating that XCOM creators, Firaxis, are working on a Marvel game. Last night during Gamescom, the game was officially announced as Marvel's Midnight Suns, a tactical RPG starring a number of popular heroes, including those from The Avengers and X-Men.
The game was announced last night during Opening Night Live and better yet, the game isn't too far away from release, with a March 2022 date announced too:
The game is a tactical RPG, so expect XCOM-style gameplay, but with your own player-made hero fighting alongside a cast of Marvel heroes, including the likes of Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America, Blade, Ghost Rider and more.
While the Gamescom trailer was cinematic, there is a second gameplay reveal coming on the 1st of September, so there is still more news to come. The game is set to release in March 2022 for PC, Switch, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4.
