Just as promised, last night during Gamescom Opening Night Live, the Saints Row reboot was officially announced. The new game will be ‘more grounded' than Saints Row 4, featuring a new story and cast of characters.
The game, simply titled ‘Saints Row', is a reboot for the series set in Santo Ileso. While the game is set to release in early 2022, the Gamescom trailer does not include gameplay, but the cinematic does a good job of setting the tone for this new game:
In the reboot, players will create their own custom character looking to start up a new gang called ‘The Saints'. With the help of three companions, Neenah, Kevin and Eli, you'll be tasked with building up your gang's reputation and overthrowing three rival gangs, Los Panteros, Marshall Defence Technologies and The Idols.
The map is said to be “the biggest and best Saints Row playground ever created”. Currently, Saints Row is planned to release on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4 on the 25th of February 2022. The PC version appears to be a timed exclusive on the Epic Games Store.

KitGuru Says: I didn't play much of Saints Row 4 but I really enjoyed Saints Row The Third back in the day. Hopefully this reboot can recapture some of that magic. What did you all think of the Saints Row reboot reveal?
