Rumoured Nvidia RTX 3090 Super may have over 400W TDP

We're still fresh off the launch of the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti, but it seems Nvidia might not be done with the RTX 30 series just yet. This week, reports indicate that an RTX 3090 Super is on the way, and it may come with a TDP over 400W.

The rumoured release date of the Super series line-up and the specifications of the RTX 3090 Super were shared by Greymon55. Apparently, the RTX 30 Super cards are coming later this year, including SKUs featuring both GDDR6 and GDDR6X memory, like the current RTX 30 series line-up.

As for the RTX 3090 Super specifications, the leaker claims that it will feature a full GA102 GPU with 10752 CUDA cores enabled and a +400W TDP. That's an increase of 256 CUDA cores and 50W compared to the original RTX 3090. The GDDR6X memory is expected to be slightly faster, possibly clocked at 21Gbps, Micron's standard speed for GDDR6X memory.

The specifications of the rest of the line-up are still unknown, but it's said that the RTX 3080 Super will come with a new GPU, the GA103. There's also the chance that we will see the GA103 GPU powering high-end RTX 30 Super series laptop SKUs.

KitGuru says: If this turns out to be true, then the RTX 30 series is going to get quite crowded.
