Recent Geekbench 6 graphics test results show very promising results for Intel's upcoming Lunar Lake integrated graphics. The results suggest that the iGPU can offer performance comparable to entry-level GPUs like Intel's Arc A380 and other iGPU solutions like the AMD Radeon 780M.
The benchmark results shared by Benchleaks were based on Vulkan tests for the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V CPU, with scores of 31,560 and 34,181 in consecutive tests. The Core Ultra 7 258V processor is an 8C/8T CPU, as was tested with 32GB of RAM and Windows 11 Enterprise. During testing, the CPU achieved a peak frequency of 4.8GHz under a Balanced power plan.
In comparative testing, the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V holds its own, with the AMD Radeon 780M and the Intel Arc A380 GPUs scoring around 34K points and the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 at about 37K points. This places the Lunar Lake CPU's performance in the same league as these, hinting at a potential future where devices powered by Lunar Lake CPUs may not require separate GPUs, making them suitable for light gaming or even portable console production.
It's essential to consider the preliminary nature of these findings, as they are derived from engineering samples evaluated under controlled settings and may not accurately reflect final retail performance.
