ASUS RTX 3070 Noctua Edition launches this month

Following on from rumours and leaks, today, ASUS and Noctua made their collaboration official with the ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 Noctua Edition. This is the world's first graphics card to use Noctua fans and a tailored heatsink co-engineered by the cooling experts at Noctua.

With the Noctua cooling solution, noise levels can be reduced by up to 15dB(A) with medium fan speeds and 9dB(A) at maximum fan speeds. When used in cases with good ventilation and moderate ambient temperatures, the card will keep its fans running at very low speeds, even at high GPU loads. This enables GPU intensive tasks and games to run at near silence.

The Asus GeForce RTX 3070 Noctua Edition incorporates a pair of Noctua NF-A12x25 fans, moving air over a chunky 2.3-slot heatsink developed by thermal R&D veterans at ASUS and Noctua. Fin density, heat pipe arrangement and airflow have all received close attention, perfectly tuning the heatsink to the strengths of the NF-A12x25 fans. To incorporate this new cooler, the card was expanded to occupy 4.3 slots of space, so it is one of the largest RTX 3070 graphics cards around.

This graphics card will be available in two versions, a standard edition with a 1755MHz GPU boost clock, and an OC version with an 1845MHz GPU boost clock out of the box. You can also manually overclock the graphics card yourself to squeeze out some extra performance. Both versions will be available worldwide starting in mid-October.
