Monster Hunter Rise’s PC demo available now

Though Monster Hunter Rise’s PC release is still 3 months away, Capcom’s latest entry in the popular franchise looks to be shaping up nicely on the platform, as way ahead of its official release, the publisher has now announced that a PC demo is available for all to download.

Ahead of its release on the 12th of January 2022, Capcom has now announced that ”The #MHRise PC demo is live now on Steam!” The demo itself offers a decent amount of content including “5 quests, teaching you the basics of the Wirebug, Wyvern Riding, and Silkbind Skills, as well as offering a few actual hunts.”

On top of this, all 14 of the game’s weapons are available for use, allowing you to try out every weapon and pick your favourite all before the game has launched. You need not do it alone either, as 4 player co-op is accessible during this demo, giving a slice of the full Monster Hunter Rise experience.

While Monster Hunter Rise launched for Switch back in March of this year, the PC version will offer many advantages over the portable release, including:

  • 4K resolution
  • Various graphics options
  • Controller support and optimized keyboard & mouse controls
  • Voice Chat
  • Ultrawide Display support

Unfortunately, those who do purchase the PC version will not be able to transfer their save data from the Switch and vice-versa. Until Capcom manages to find a way to do so, this demo will serve as a great way for you to see whether the PC-specific features trump the convenience of the Switch version.
