While many of us expected the Battlefield 2042 beta to begin earlier this month, DICE seemed to find itself running behind schedule and as a result, the game was delayed from October to November. This release date shift also means that the planned beta was moved accordingly, with leaks suggesting that it will begin next week.
Over on Chinese social network, Bilibili, DICE has begun running a promotion, which states that Battlefield 2042 events are scheduled from the 6th to the 9th of October. Tom Henderson added some additional information, claiming that a new Battlefield 2042 trailer would be dropping on the 29th of September to announce and promote the beta.
While this particular promotion says that events will be running over this three-day span, this does not mean that the beta will end then. It is likely that the Battlefield 2042 beta will run for longer than three days as DICE continues to monitor systems and gather feedback for a final balance, polish and bug fixing push.
Battlefield 2042 was initially due to release on the 22nd of October, with deluxe edition pre-order customers getting access a week earlier on the 15th of October. However, after the recent delay, the game will now be releasing on the 19th of November, with early access edition pre-order customers getting access on the 12th of November.
