Earlier this year, Square Enix announced Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, an action-focused spin-off to the long-running JRPG franchise. Now at the Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix has shown the game off once again, while also announcing a release date and a new demo version coming this year.
Stanger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin already had a limited time demo on consoles earlier this year. A second demo is now on the way, which will include multiplayer/co-op features, currently playable on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 consoles. The new demo also incorporates feedback from the earlier demo, so returning players should expect some changes.
Final Fantasy Origin is being developed by Team Ninja, the same studio behind the excellent Nioh games. Barring any delays, the game should release on the 18th of March 2022 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
The game itself is inspired by Final Fantasy 1, so expect some settings and story elements to tie into the original game, and possibly even some returning characters.

KitGuru Says: The initial demo seemed to get some poor reception, so hopefully this second demo has made changes where necessary. Have any of you downloaded the new demo already?
