As the year is slowly coming to its end, we are getting closer to a new Game Awards ceremony. Like in previous years, The Game Awards 2021 will be held in December, but there will be a big difference compared to last year's event — it will be in person.
Just as you would expect, Geoff Keighley will once again been hosting, with the event set to take place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. This year, there will be a crowd of spectators once again, although the event will also stream worldwide, so you can watch from the comfort of your home.

Officially, a big part of the world is still in a pandemic state, so health and safety precautions still need to be taken. Firstly, the event will be invite-only, controlling how many people can attend. There may be other rules in place to comply with local COVID-19 regulations on public events.
As usual, aside from the awards show itself, we expect to see new game announcements and reveals, some world premiers and maybe a musical performance or two.
