Battlefield 2042 will launch with ray-tracing, DLSS and Nvidia Reflex

For a while, it looked like Battlefield 2042 would be launching without any RTX features, but as it turns out, the game will indeed be featuring a suite of Nvidia technologies at release. Today, DICE and Nvidia announced that Battlefield 2042 will include ray-tracing, DLSS and Nvidia Reflex. 

In a new PC tech trailer, we can see these enhancements in action. On the ray-tracing side, this time DICE is using ray-traced global illumination, unlike Battlefield V, which implemented ray-traced reflections and was amongst the first games to support RTX features.

As you would expect, DLSS is also included, so RTX graphics card owners can get a hefty performance boost. In addition, Battlefield 2042 is also joining the growing list of games to support Nvidia Reflex, a new feature that utilises the GPU to heavily reduce input lag and enable faster response times from the moment you press a key or mouse button, to seeing the action performed on screen.

Battlefield 2042 is officially launching on the 19th of November, although there is an early access period beginning on the 12th of November for EA Play members and Ultimate Edition pre-order customers.
