In recent weeks, we've seen a number of leaks regarding the GTA Trilogy remaster. At this point, Rockstar has confirmed the trilogy for consoles and PC, with a release planned for later this year, as well as some of the graphical enhancements we can expect. Now, we also have minimum and recommended system requirements for the PC version.
As we reported yesterday, the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy remasters will come with “new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more”. These enhancements aim to “bring these beloved worlds to life with all new levels of detail”.
Through datamining efforts on the GTA forums, users have now also found the minimum and recommended PC system requirements for the remastered trilogy. The minimum spec calls for:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-6300
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R9 280
- Storage: 45GB
The recommended PC system requirements make the jump to:
- CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600
- Memory: 16GB
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD radeon RX 570
- Storage: 45GB
Rockstar has not officially announced these system requirements yet, but more details are set to be revealed later this month to celebrate Grand Theft Auto III's 20th anniversary. Chances are, pre-orders will go live at this time, as well as specific release date information and confirmed PC system requirements.
