At this point, Rockstar has confirmed the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy – Definitive Edition remastered set, containing upgraded versions of GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas. While the studio did not confirm the specific enhancements for these games with its initial announcement, a newly updated Rockstar support page does reveal what we can expect.
The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy remasters will come with “new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more”, the page teases. These enhancements will “bring these beloved worlds to life with all new levels of detail”.
As you might expect, Rockstar will be using this opportunity to push its own launcher again by offering a $10 discount to all launch-window buyers. At this point, the games are expected to launch in December for consoles and PC, so you'll have until the 5th of January to get the game at a slightly cheaper price directly through the Rockstar launcher.
Of course, pricing has already become a point of contention for this game. Recent rumours suggested that this remastered set will be very expensive, possibly even costing as much as £65.

KitGuru Says: The discount won't mean much if the trilogy is already so highly priced, but it is worth noting that no official announcements have been made yet regarding pricing or a specific release date. Are any of you hoping to pick up the GTA remastered trilogy later this year?
