Unreleased Intel Core 12th Gen Core processors show up at retail

Last week, Intel released the first 12th Gen Core processors, including “K” and “KF” SKUs. The line-up should expand with the non-K and “F” series processors in early 2022 and some retailers are already revealing details.

The listings spotted by @momomo_us show the Core i7-12700F, the Core i5-12400 and 12400F and the Core i3-12100F in an undisclosed Canadian retailer. Besides prices, the listings also show some specifications of these processors.

The Core i5-12400 and 12400F (no iGPU) listings show these processors will come with 18MB of L3 cache with a base clock speed of 2.5GHz, with an early review suggesting it can boost up to 4.4GHz. Based on the listings, the Core i5-12400 will cost 287 CAD (£171) and the Core i5-12400F about 249 CAD (£148). This processor likely won't feature E-cores.

Moving on to the Core i7-12700F, the listing indicates the processor will feature 25MB of L3 cache and a 2.1GHz base clock speed (presumably referring to the P-cores). As for the Core i3-12100F, it's expected to feature 12MB of L3 cache and a base clock speed of 3.3GHz. Like the i5-12400 CPUs, the i3 likely won't feature E-cores. According to the listings, these processors won't have the iGPU enabled and will be priced at 455 CAD (£271) and 148 CAD (£88), respectively.

Canadian prices do not include VAT, so these prices are converted without taking the taxes into account.

KitGuru says: Compared to the 10th and 11th Gen Core CPUs, these prices are a bit higher, but they should come down a bit as time goes on.
