As they have done for years and years now, ahead of the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops 6, Activision/Treyarch will be allowing players to get their hands on a slice of the game early, with early beta access being given to those who pre-order – ahead of an open beta for all in roughly 6 weeks time.
Making the announcement on the Call of Duty Blog, the Black Ops 6 team has now revealed the official beta access dates. Going live on the 30th of August, all those who pre-order the game will be privy to the early access beta which runs up until the 4th of September.
Those who are more wary of pre-orders will still get a chance to try out the game as an open beta will follow shortly after – going live from the 6th to the 9th of September.
As has been the case previously, those who participate in the beta will receive a reward of some kind upon the game’s full release (most likely a weapon blueprint / calling card / emblem) – but more details will likely be revealed at the upcoming COD: Next event on the 28th of August.
With Microsoft now officially owning Activision-Blizzard, it will be interesting to see whether anything changes when it comes to the beta and pre-release plans.
