“Cheeky” Deadpool-themed Xbox controller officially announced

Microsoft are no strangers to producing odd and gimmicky Xbox controllers, with the latest generation alone seeing a ton of different and weird crossover controllers – including but not limited to a pizza-scented TMNT controller and furry Sonic the Hedgehog / Knuckles the Echidna themed Xbox controllers. Not to be outdone, the team have now officially revealed a Deadpool Xbox controller which features literal butt cheeks.

Making the announcement on the Xbox Wire blog, Marcos Waltenberg – the General Manager of Xbox Global Partnerships & Consumer Products – officially revealed “the Cheekiest Xbox Controller”, saying:

“In anticipation of Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine coming to theaters on July 26, Deadpool himself has teamed up with Xbox to design a custom Xbox Wireless Controller that everyone will want to get their hands on. Modeled after Deadpool’s much-discussed, perfectly rounded tush, the Deadpool-designed controller is available for one lucky fan to enter for a chance to win via a global sweepstakes alongside other custom Xbox hardware.”

Full details on how to enter the sweepstakes can be found HERE, but beyond just the butt-themed controller, entrants can also win a whole Deadpool-themed Xbox Series X – including two of the aforementioned butt controllers.

As mentioned, Microsoft have made a ton of weird Xbox controllers at this point, but even by their standards, this might be the most unique one yet. It’ll be interesting to see just how usable those Deadpool controllers actually wind up being.
