Need for Speed, Trials of Mana and more leaving PS Plus next month

Sony has been steadily growing its PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium service ever since its revamp a couple years ago. As with most subscription game services however, titles only stick around for a limited time. The console manufacturer has now announced which half-a-dozen-or-so games will be leaving next month.

In going to the PlayStation Plus section on your PS5, you’ll find a list of 5 titles under the ‘Last Chance to Play’ section. Leaving the service on the 20th of August are the following:

  • NBA 2k24
  • NFS Unbound
  • Spellforce III Reforced
  • Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed
  • Trials of Mana

While certainly not the worst month for game removals, the list of titles does cover a wide variety of game styles and genres, and so there is likely at least one game which you may be disappointed to see leaving – depending on your genre preferences.

Fortunately, Sony also keeps its PS Plus library topped up with new entrants, with the latest ‘Extra’ additions being:

  • Remnant 2
  • Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion
  • Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord
  • The Jackbox Party Pack 9
  • Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
  • No More Heroes 3
  • Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition
  • Deadcraft
  • Steep
