Dead by Daylight DLC prices are going up on PC

As announced this week, Dead by Daylight is finally getting cross-progression, with a system that will no longer require players to double dip on DLC characters to access them on other platforms. However, this change does also mean that the standard price for DLCs for the game on PC will be going up.

Starting from the 22nd of July, the price of Dead by Daylight DLC packs will be going up by $1 in order to match the price with consoles. This was a necessary step to get cross-progression and cross-buy between the console and PC versions of the game, although some older, non-licensed DLCs will remain unaffected.

This shouldn't be a huge deal for most, as Dead by Daylight's DLC packs go on sale very regularly on Steam for 50% off or more.

In most cases, your DLC purchases will now sync across all platforms in Dead by Daylight. However, anything purchased specifically on the Switch can't carry over to other platforms. However, DLCs purchased on Xbox, PlayStation and PC can sync to the Nintendo Switch version of the game. I think the end result here is that if you are buying Dead by Daylight DLC and you play on multiple platforms, you should probably avoid buying content on the Switch and instead buy it on your other platform to access it across both.
