AOC has transformed its gaming line-up this year, launching ‘Agon by AOC', a rebrand for the company's gaming line-up, expanding beyond monitors and into the gaming peripherals market too. This weekend, KitGuru was invited to an event to see the very latest from AOC's gaming line.
The Agon by AOC portfolio is split into three segments, with AOC Gaming monitors being the entry point, offering high 144Hz and 165Hz displays with FHD, QHD and ultra-wide resolutions. One rung up the ladder are Agon monitors, offering up to 240Hz refresh rates for QHD displays and up to 165Hz for super-wide, 49-inch displays. Finally at the very top, we have Agon Pro, which are the pinnacle of what AOC has to offer, offering cutting-edge gaming features like G-Sync Ultimate, MiniLED panels and up to 360Hz refresh rates, as well as premium design elements like RGB LightFX and a metal stand.
AOC's new Agon Pro monitors are the star of the show this weekend. The new flagship gaming monitors sport a MiniLED display, which brings big benefits for HDR thanks to its higher contrast, brightness and wider colour gamut compared to a traditional LCD panel. MiniLED is also less prone to burn in compared to OLED, making it a suitable alternative for PCs.
It doesn't stop there though, AOC's flagship Agon Pro displays also boast up to 4K resolution, high refresh rates, and some models include HDMI 2.1, making them perfect for PC and next-gen console gaming with the Xbox Series X/S or PS5. Finally, you also get Nvidia G-Sync or AMD FreeSync for tear-free gaming and some models also support the Nvidia Reflex Analyser tool so you can monitor input latency.

The Agon by AOC range doesn't just include monitors though, there are also new Agon peripherals on the way, including the GH401 wireless gaming headset and the new GM510B lightweight gaming mouse.
The GH401 is AOC's first wireless gaming headset, designed with comfort in mind and with support for spatial audio plugins, like Windows Sonic. This is a multi-device headset, so you can hook it up to your console, TV, phone or PC. While using 2.4GHz wireless mode, you should get up to 17 hours of battery life on a single charge. If your headset runs out of juice mid-gaming, you can switch over to the 3.5mm wired audio connection instead.
The GM510B is AOC's latest Agon gaming mouse, sporting a battle-tested Pixart PWM3389 sensor, RGB lighting and a lightweight ‘honeycomb' shell design. For something a little more traditional, you can go with the GM530B instead, which utilises an ergonomic shape with side grips, while maintaining RGB and the Pixart PWM3389 sensor.
Both upcoming AOC Agon gaming mice will cost €44.90, while the headset will be available later this month for €79.90.
