MSI has two high-spec monitors launching this month, delivering Mini LED or OLED displays for high refresh rate PC gaming. The first monitor is the MEG341, an ultra-wide curved monitor sporting Mini LED technology. The second is the MEG551U, a much larger, 55-inch OLED gaming display.
The MSI MEG 341 Mini LED monitor will feature a 34-inch AUO Optronics AmLED panel with an 800R curvature, 21:9 aspect ratio and a peak brightness of 1000nits, enough to certify it as VESA DisplayHDR 1000. Like the MPG Artymis 273CQRX-QD, the MPG Artymis 273CQR-QD and the MAG 274QRF-QD, the MEG 341 will also meet the QD premium colour standard, ensuring a large colour spectrum and improved display calibration.
After watching MSI's video announcement, we noticed the MEG341 will feature synchronisable RGB, a premium colour mode and a factory calibration offering dE <2. The included stand seems to offer some ergonomic capabilities like height adjustment and tilting. The MSI MEG 341 is expected to release in 2022.
Moving to the MEG 551U OLED monitor, MSI has not revealed much yet, but this monitor is also expected in 2022. As the name implies, we know it will feature a 55-inch OLED panel, most likely from LG or BOE. MSI promised to unveil more about this monitor soon.
KitGuru says: Both of these monitors seem very promising on paper. Are any of you looking for a monitor upgrade at the moment?
