Intel ramps up for 12th Gen Core laptop launch

We've known for a while now that Intel is set to bring its Alder Lake processors to laptops in early 2022. Now, Intel EVP, Gregory Bryant, has confirmed as much, confirming that 12th Gen Core mobile processors, otherwise known as ‘Alder Lake-P', have begun shipping to OEMs. 

Gregory M Bryant, executive vice president and general manager at Intel client computing group, has shared the milestone via Twitter. Here, Gregory posted a photo with multiple members of the design and development teams of the upcoming processors, thanking them for their work on the upcoming products.

Succeeding the 11th Gen Core ‘Tiger Lake' processors, Intel's upcoming mobile CPUs are expected to feature an Intel 7 hybrid architecture, similar to its desktop counterparts. Packing up to 6x P-cores and 8x E-cores, these processors are said to come with a maximum clock speed of 5.0GHz. We've already shared benchmarks results of the Intel Core i9-12900HK, the Core i7-12800H and the Core i7-12700H on Geekbench and Cinebench, which should give you an idea of how they will perform.

Intel should announce these processors and the Arc Alchemist GPUs at CES, scheduled for January 2022.
