Xbox adds 70 backwards compatible titles with Auto HDR and FPS Boost

Today during Xbox's 20th anniversary stream, Microsoft announced 70 new games entering the Backwards Compatibility program. These new games will even be further improved on the new Xbox Series consoles, thanks to features like Auto HDR and FPS Boost, which are now spreading to even more backwards compatible titles.

Some of the biggest additions to the Xbox backwards compatible library include the full Max Payne and F.E.A.R. franchises, the Skate games, and original Xbox classics like Star Wars: Jedi Knight II and Dead or Alive Ultimate.

In total, 11 games are getting FPS Boost today, which doubles frame rates in those titles from 30FPS to 60FPS. Titles getting this upgrade include the likes of G.E.A.R., Binary Domain and Nier. Titles already in the backwards compatibility program, like Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Dead Space, Alan Wake and Sonic Generations are also getting FPS Boost today.

Many of these games will also benefit from Auto HDR, bringing a nice visual uplift for modern TVs and monitors. The full list of Backwards Compatible titles and their support for features like Auto HDR and FPS Boost, can be found HERE.
