Back in June, Bioware announced the next major expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic – Legacy of the Sith, promising a return to Manaan, which first appeared in Knights of the Old Republic. The expansion was scheduled for ‘holiday 2021' but now, we have a firm release date.
A week after Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker releases, Bioware will be launching Legacy of the Sith on the 14th of December. The expansion kicks on Manaan, a planet almost entirely covered by ocean, invaded by the Sith in search of Kolto in the middle of its on-going war with the republic.
The expansion brings an increase to the level cap, a new main quest line, a new flashpoint, as well as the addition of combat classes, allowing players to mix and match light-side and dark-side abilities.
The New Player Experience has been overhauled, with a new character creation system, as well as new character sheet and inventory menus. The PvP system is getting a revamp, and players will be able to create “combat styles”, so players can experiment with abilities from other classes without changing their story class.
Star Wars: The Old Republic – Legacy of the Sith will release on the 14th of December.
KitGuru Says: Legacy of the Sith is shaping up to be an interesting expansion, although I do wonder if Endwalker's release just a week before will have an impact. Will any of you be diving back into SWTOR for the new expansion?
