Each month, PlayStation offers a number of games for free to all those who are subscribed to its PlayStation Plus service. With the PlayStation 5 now officially one year old, the company is going back and giving all subscribers one of the biggest PS5 launch games for free.
As reported by PlayStation Plus leaker Dealabs, the PlayStation Plus line-up for December is as follows:
- Godfall Challenger Edition – PS4/5
- Mortal shell – PS4
- LEGO DC Super Villains – PS4
By far the biggest game of the month is Godfall. Originally launched exclusively for the PlayStation 5 (and PC) in November 2020, Godfall is a looter-slasher, melee action-RPG in which “Aperion is on the precipice of ruin. You are the last of the Valorian knights, god-like masters of melee combat equipped with legendary armor sets called Valorplates.”
Though the game was originally a next-gen exclusive, it later came to PS4. What this means is that for this month, PlayStation 4 players will be receiving 3 games instead of the usual 2. At launch, Godfall received mixed reviews due to its repetitive structure. That being said, the game has seen a number of new content updates since, so it will certainly be worth a look.
The other major title is Mortal Shell. While this Dark Souls inspired action game received mostly positive reviews, the PlayStation Plus version appears to not be the recently released ‘Enhanced Edition’ which brought with it native PS5 support. Even so, the game is worth checking out if you are a fan of the genre.
Despite these details coming from a reliable leaker, it is worth noting that the final line-up may change. If this is indeed the case, we will of course detail the differences. If however, this is the full line-up, then December is looking to be a solid month for subscribers.
