Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök will kick off a second year of DLC

In recent weeks, we've seen a lot of leaks coming out of Ubisoft, particularly around future DLC plans for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Now, Ubisoft has confirmed much of this information, officially announcing the Dawn of Ragnarök expansion and confirming additional DLC is in the works for next year.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök is a major expansion, promising around 35 hours of additional gameplay according to Ubisoft. The expansion dives further into Norse mythology, sending our main protagonist off to a new Norse realm, which will have a map roughly a third of the size of the main game's version of England.

As the official trailer shows, this time around, Eivor will drink a potion and become Odin. Following this, players will embark on a new journey to put an end to  the invasion of Svartalfheim, a Dwarven realm hiding a number of secrets. players can expect to fight new enemies, obtain new powers and collect new gear along the way.

Dawn of Ragnarök is expected to release in March 2022 and will kick off a second year of DLC content for Valhalla. Before that though, there will be one last DLC for the game releasing in 2021 – a crossover questline with Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

KitGuru Says: Ubisoft games do get a lot of flack for plenty of valid reasons, but there is no denying that you get a lot of bang for buck. The sheer amount of content in Valhalla in its base form was intimidating to some and the game has only gotten bigger and bigger in the year since launch. Will any of you be returning to Valhalla next year for another round of expansions and DLCs?
