Glorious launches GMMK 3 keyboards with new customisation options

Glorious has announced an exciting new addition to its premium keyboard lineup – the GMMK 3. Departing from its predecessors, the GMMK 3 offers unprecedented customisation, allowing users to create a keyboard tailored to their taste.

The GMMK 3 is available in 65%, 75%, and 100% configurations, each featuring a volume dial, magnetic badge, and RGB lighting. The new GMMK 3 keyboards include an HE variant that, as the name suggests, includes Hall Effect switches and an 8000Hz polling rate.

Glorious has partnered with Boardsmith, offering a web-based tool that enables users to tailor almost every aspect of their keyboard, from keycaps and cable choices to alternative gaskets and switch plates. This level of customisation ensures a truly unique typing experience, with the finished product delivered fully assembled.

For enthusiasts and tinkerers, replacing components on the GMMK 3 is straightforward. With just eight screws holding the keyboard together, hot-swap PCBs, and interchangeable gasket mounts that slide into pegs positioned across the frame, users have the freedom to make modifications with ease. The HE variants have an extra layer of customisation, as their PCB can handle both HE and generic mechanical switches concurrently.

The GMMK 3 starts at $119.99/€139.99 for the 65% base keyboard. The 65% HE keyboards start at $174.99/€209.99. For those seeking even more control over their keyboard, barebones kits are available starting at $79.99/€89.99 (65%), allowing users to personalise their switches and keycaps at a reasonable cost.

In addition to the standard GMMK 3, there are also the GMMK 3 Pro keyboards, which also include an HE variant. These differ from the standard model with a full aluminium model and optional wireless connectivity (Bluetooth and 2.4G). This makes its price go up considerably compared to the standard GMMK 3, with the Pro variant going for $239.99/€259.99 and the Pro HE for $299.99/€329.99. GMMK 3 Pro and Pro HE barebone kits are also available, with the former starting at $189.99/€209.99 and the latter at $259.99/€289.99.
