Ubisoft leaks Assassin’s Creed Syndicate 60fps patch

Since the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S back in late 2020, we have seen Ubisoft update many of its Assassin’s Creed titles to support 60fps of the now-current-gen consoles. Oddly, one of the primary titles to not get updated was Assassin’s Creed Syndicate – though this appears to be changing soon.

In a now deleted tweet by the official Ubisoft LATAM  page, the publisher appeared to tease an upcoming 60fps patch for AC Syndicate, saying:

“Which Assassin’s Creed game have you played the most? (Maybe Syndicate will take first place with the new update that brings 60FPS).”

As mentioned, this tweet has since been deleted, but as with most deleted announcements, it is most likely to have gone live earlier than expected – more so than the entire tweet/announcement being false.

As mentioned, many AC games received 60fps updates since the start of the 9th generation, including AC Odyssey and AC Origins. Syndicate also got a PS5 update, but mainly to fix issues with backwards compatibility.

With Syndicate seemingly next in line to get a proper 60fps update, it will be interesting to see whether Ubisoft plans to go all the way back and enhance every AC title with such functionality. We will have to wait and see, but Syndicate being playable at 60fps is certainly a welcome improvement regardless.
