AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Cinebench results spotted

The first Cinebench R23 results for AMD's upcoming Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 have been shared online. In the single-core testing, the processor scored barely north of 2K points. As for the multi-core test, the Ryzen chip scored over 23K points.

Based on Cinbench 2024 results, AMD claims that the Ryzen AI 300 series top chip is expected to outperform Intel's Core Ultra 9 185H by 20% in single-core performance and 40% in multi-core workloads. While it is more recent, this version of Cinebench isn't as popular as Cinebench R23, which most reviewers still use.

HXL's unveiling of what seems to be the inaugural R23 benchmark for the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 shows promising results. However, the lack of detailed system specifications, power settings, and memory configuration may have influenced the outcome. The HX 370 achieved 2010 points in the single-core test and 23302 points in the multi-core test, as visually depicted.

With these results, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 emerges as a top performer in single-core capability, though it lags behind Intel's more robust 55W desktop-class SKUs, such as the Core i9-14900HX. Multi-core testing shows significant improvements (12% in single-core and 32% in multi-core) over the older Ryzen 7000HS and 8000HS APUs, but not enough to beat the likes of AMD's own Ryzen 9 7945HX3D in multi-core performance. Nevertheless, the HX 370 surpasses the Core Ultra 9 185H, tested at a 54W TDP, by approximately 16% in single-core and 36% in multi-core performance.

AMD has announced that the Strix Point APUs will be available alongside new laptops by the end of this month.
