Leak reveals MSI B660 motherboards and pricing

Details on upcoming B660 motherboards are still somewhat scarce, with little officially known about the upcoming mid-range options for those looking to build an Intel 12th Gen PC. We may now have a rough idea on pricing though, as MSI's B660 motherboard line-up has leaked.

Twitter leaker, @g01d3nm4ng0 (via Wccftech), has shared a list of upcoming MSI B660 motherboards with US pricing included for each model. Previously, this leaker shared early information on MSI's Z690 Godlike motherboard, so they have been correct in the past. The list of upcoming MSI B660 motherboards has 10 different boards, with four in the MAG series and six in the Pro series. A good number of these motherboards have an ‘M' suffix, indicating that they are mATX boards, while the remaining are full-size ATX boards.

The leaker notes that none of the motherboards on this list seems to support DDR4 because they do not include “D4” or “DDR4” in their naming, as we've already seen in a B660 label. However, the list might not include all motherboards coming from MSI, or the model names could be incomplete. You should also note that there's a considerable price difference between the B660M-G/B/E boards and the rest of the line-up. This price difference might be due to the lack of support of DDR5 memory, PCIe 5.0 or both.

All of our lingering questions should be answered early next year, when motherboard vendors start to roll out their B660 boards.

KitGuru says: As expected, this table shows that B660 motherboards will be more affordable than Z690. However, they may lack some features of the higher-end boards, like DDR5 or PCIe 5.0. Do you think these extra features justify the price difference between Z690 and B660?
