Recently we learned that the rumoured RTX 2060 12GB GPU is real and now, here we are at launch day and AiBs are starting to confirm their custom versions of the graphics card. There is no Founders Edition for this GPU, meaning all cards on the market will be produced by AiBs, with Inno3D and ASUS being amongst the first.
The RTX 2060 12GB is based on the Turing architecture, the very first to introduce support for Nvidia's RTX features like ray-tracing acceleration and DLSS. The updated graphics card packs 12GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit bus running at 14Gbps. Other specs include 2176 CUDA cores, and boost clock speeds up to 1665MHz out of the box.
We've seen two custom RTX 2060 12GB graphics cards so far, with the first being the INNO3D TWIN X2 OC, using the Twin X2 dual-fan cooling solution. Aside from the two cooling fans, there is an appropriately sized heat sink with three heat pipes to improve heat transfer.
Meanwhile, ASUS is launching an RTX 2060 12GB DUAL with a standard version and an OC version. Both use a 2.7-slot heatsink and dual Axial-tech fans with IP5X dust resistance for cooling. The fans are also set to stop spinning until the GPU reaches 55°C, so it will be silent while idling or doing basic tasks on the PC.
We don't have pricing information yet, but so we'll have to wait for retail listings to see just how much these will cost.
