While Dragon Quest X Offline was supposed to hit consoles and PC in February, Square Enix has announced a delay, pushing the game back by several months. The publisher has been reworking Dragon Quest X to be playable offline as a single-player game, but the process is taking a little longer than first expected.
Dragon Quest X originally released in 2012 acting as the tenth mainline game in the series and taking the series in an MMO direction. This new version is playable offline, so non-MMO players can experience the story in single-player form.
While Dragon Quest X Offline was supposed to hit PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC in February 2022, it has now been delayed to ‘Summer 2022'. This extra time will allow the developers to improve overall quality and squash as many bugs as possible before launch.
The game's first expansion will also be pushed back and is now due in Autumn 2022. Unfortunately so far, the game has only been announced for Japan, so we do not know if it will get a western release, if it does, that will likely be coming around a year later in 2023.
KitGuru Says: Dragon Quest X Offline should be interesting, although only those who know Japanese will get to experience the game properly for the time being.
