Intel Arc A380 desktop graphics card specifications and benchmark results emerge

With Intel's CES 2022 keynote coming in just a few hours, we have new details to share with you about one of its upcoming desktop graphics cards. The specifications of the Arc A380 desktop graphics card have just leaked, alongside a new benchmark result giving us a good idea of what performance to expect.

According to @momomo_us, the upcoming Intel Arc A380 desktop graphics card will feature 128 EUs, translating into 1024 FP32 shadings units clocked at 2.45GHz. Moreover, the card will also feature 1MB of L2 cache and 4.8GB of video memory. Most of this data is backed by SiSoftware Sandra database entries.

The specifications of this card leave room for the rumoured A350 desktop graphics card, expected to feature the same DG2-128EU GPU as the A380 but with only 96 EUs enabled. The A350 and A380 would belong to Intel's entry-level GPU segment, but higher-end GPUs with more EUs are also expected to debut this year as well.

Comparing the SiSoftware Sandra entries with current solutions, the A380 graphics card performs similarly to the RTX 3050 Ti and RTX 3050 laptop GPUs. Performance may improve significantly depending on the state of the drivers used to score these entries, which are just a few days old.

We expect to learn more about Intel's new graphics cards later today during its CES 2022 keynote.

KitGuru says: If the A380 offers the same performance as the RTX 3050/Ti laptop GPU, then it should perform below the desktop versions. Depending on pricing and availability, it could still be worth considering for a budget PC, but we'll have to wait for reviews and user-benchmarks to know for sure.
