Dying Light 2 gains over 200K concurrent players on Steam at launch

Techland finally made it to the finish line this week and released Dying Light 2: Stay Human. The game has garnered mixed to positive reviews from critics and now, players are jumping in for themselves, propelling the game into the top ten most played titles on Steam.

Dying Light 2's PC launch is off to a particularly good start, peaking at 225,000 concurrent players. That puts Dying Light 2 in the number four spot for most concurrent players on Steam, coming out ahead of Apex Legends, Rust, GTA V, and others. As you might expect, the likes of CS:GO, Dota 2 and PUBG maintained their positions in the top three.

At over 200,000 concurrent players, Dying Light 2 has far surpassed the original Dying Light on Steam, which had a peak concurrent player count of 46,000. Compared to other recent PC launches, like God of War (73,000) and Monster Hunter Rise (134,000), Dying Light 2 pulls away with the most players by a significant margin.

Currently, Dying Light 2 sits at the top of Steam's top seller list and has garnered ‘Mostly Positive' reviews from players.
