Bleach Rebirth of Souls announced for PC, PlayStation and Xbox

If you grew up watching anime or reading manga through the 2000s, then you are likely familiar with ‘the big three', consisting of the three most popular Shonen series of that time period – One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. While we've had many, many video games for those first two series, Bleach has often been neglected in the video game space. That changes soon with the release of Bleach: Rebirth of Souls.

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is a new fighting game featuring stylish swordfights with all the fan favourite characters from the series. In a new gameplay trailer, we get perhaps the most essential match-up, with a fight between Ichigo and Byakuya.

Bleach was at its peak popularity between 2001 and 2010, but it began to drop off in the early 2010s, leading to the anime being cancelled. The manga was eventually finished and in recent years, the anime has returned to cover the final arc. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood-War finished up its second season recently and fans have praised it for its jump in animation quality compared to the original anime.

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is being developed for PC (via Steam), PS5, PS4 and Xbox Series X/S. No release date has been announced yet.

KitGuru Says: There are a lot of Bleach mobile games out there but it has been decades since we last saw a Bleach title on consoles, and I am unsure if we've ever had a Bleach game on the PC platform. I just hope that this game can be a step up from some other recent misses in the anime video game space, like the Jujutsu Kaisen game.
